Pronunciation

Languages used by the Choir are English and Latin.  Latin words are generally pronounced as if Italian, namely:
Vowels
A as in father                
E (and æ) as in met (but approaching the sound of mate) 
I as in meet      
O as in oh (but with no diphthong)          
U as in moon
Consonants
C as in cat before A, O, U; as in chin before E, I              
G as in game before A, O, U; as in ginger before E, I                   
GN as NY (magnus = manyus)              
GU before a vowel as GW (lingua = lingwa)                     
H always silent except in mihi and nihil when pronounced hard, almost like a K      
QU as KW (quod = kwod)          
TI before a vowel as TSI (gentium = gentsium)                             
XC as KSH (excelsis = ekshelsis)
